Mexico Retail Sales Up in June and July

Mexico retail sales for the month of June were up 4.8% from the previous year, according to INEGI (Mexico’s statistics institute).  Clothing, cars, and healthcare products all saw a jump in sales, while household decor, electronics, food and beverage saw a decline year over year.

In other retail news, same store sales rose 6.4% from June to July according to ANTAD.  Both Wal Mart and Soriana have continued on track with their rapid expansion plans in 2011.
