If you are traveling to Mexico City on business, I’ve got good news for you! The Marriott chain has opened its second hotel under the JW Marriott brand in Mexico City.
The new JW Marriott, which opened this month, has 221 rooms and is located in Santa Fe, a neighborhood in the western part of Mexico City which is home to a number of multinational corporations. In addition to being conveniently located for business meetings, travelers can also take advantage of a number of great restaurants in the area like Nobu, La Guadiana, Bros, and Fisher’s.
Rooms at the hotel include High speed internet, plasma TVs, an alarm clock with iPod/iPad docking station, wireless telephone with voicemail, a Nespresso coffee machine and aromatherapy bathroom amenities.
If you are staying in Santa Fe, your best bet is to fly into the Toluca airport, which is in the State of Mexico (not the Federal District, D.F.). From the airport, Santa Fe is about a 30 minute drive. Otherwise, you can count on travel time of one to two hours from the Mexico City airport depending on traffic and weather.
