What does the Ventanilla Unica hope to achieve?
The purpose of Ventanilla Unica is to cut down on unnecessary paperwork, costs and streamline the import/export process in Mexico.
The Ventanilla Unica is also known by its abbreviation, VUCE, which stands for Ventanilla Unica Comercio Exterior (Single Window System for International Trade). It is said that the new system will cut the customs process (from start to finish) in half.
